Happy buyer (since recently) a Kindle, it is with pleasure that I discovered and introduced me to the joys of digital reading. I have long hesitated between the Paperwhite and the Basic but ultimately I do not regret my choice. The lack of lighting in the camera does not bother me, and a point of view design/aesthetics, I prefer this version of the Kindle (each one sees midday at their door). First of all, on the general appearance of the product : reduced to the bare minimum in content, the Kindle, two manuals very brief and a micro USB cable, the packaging is very well done and neat. The Kindle in itself is neither too heavy nor too light. Although plastic, it inspires confidence in its robustness and its durability. The touch screen is really responsive. It does not equal that of a(e) bon(ne) smartphone/tablet but using the keyboard for example is relatively pleasant. Even when scrolling pages, or to emphasize a passage, the screen responds very quickly. The handling of the product is nice and fairly natural. Right out of the box, and after having entered the password of my Wifi network, the device was automatically synced with my Amazon account.
